Tamper Proofing
Vandalism can be a problem in some installations. Kids and adults alike when given the chance will try to disable, damage or remove our sensors. The VP-74XX series now comes with an optional tamper proof electronic circuit. The metal case lends itself to the use of what we call a proximity or touch sensor.
 The new tamper proof models are the VP-7410-TP, VP-7420-TP etc. The new "TP" model now includes a special circuit that senses if someone touches the case of the sensor and this causes the sensor to send an immediate alarm to the receiver.
We also suggest that you consider mounting any of our sensors with tamper proof screws.
Tamper Proof Screws
There are several screw options that can make it very challenging to someone to remove a VP7400 unit from a ceiling. We do not sell these types of screws but many companies do. Here is a short list for you to consider.
